Claregate Park Rangers Beat Pendeford FC!

<p>Tonight saw a third successive home win for Claregate after beating Pendeford FC in an evenly matched game.<br style="color: #212121; font-family: wf_segoe-ui_normal, 'Segoe UI', 'Segoe WP', Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13.3333px;" />Pendeford took the lead early on and were causing Claregate some problems but a 25 yard free kick from Rodney "Trotter" Williams brought the score level and seemed to kick start a better team performance. Ste Haycock's corner was nodded home by Marc Thomas to make the score 2-1 going into half time.<br style="color: #212121; font-family: wf_segoe-ui_normal, 'Segoe UI', 'Segoe WP', Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13.3333px;" />The second half saw Pendeford bring the score level at 2-2 with a free kick of their own but the decisive goal was scored by Sam "Woppy" Wapshott with a well placed finish after racing on to a through ball from Jon Wilson. Stand out performances from Dale Elliott, Kevin Haughton and Marc Thomas but Ben Bickley won man of the match with his high energy performance from right back. A special mention too for Anthony Lane who replaced injured Lee Witherford in goal during the second half, pulling off a save Lee would have been proud of. Other players involved tonight from the bench were Mark Jackson, Dale Elliott, Andrae Brown, Lee Clutterbuck and Marc Thomas.
