Today's friendly against Newhampton Wolves ended in a 3-2 defeat.
The only real difference between the 2 teams during the first half was clear cut goalscoring chances. Newhampton were able to create opportunities whereas Claregate struggled to threaten in the final third. Half time score saw Newhampton 2-0 up.<br />Second half was a more positive display with Claregate able to carve out a number of chances. Andy Arnold pulling a goal back after racing onto a through ball from Trotter. Newhampton added a third shortly after but Claregate responded when Jon Wilson's freekick from the left found Marc Thomas in the box where Tommo was able to head home. <br />Other players involved throughout the game were Andrae Brown, Simon Moses, Aaron Collins and Thomas Banks. MOTM went to Mark Jackson. Despite the scoreline, a solid defensive display.<br /><br /><br />
