Away league match

Christchurch FC Panthers travelled to Gaunts Common Playing Field on 5 October 2025 to face Holt United Youth U16 Colts in a league away fixture that kicked off at 2:00pm. The Panthers delivered a stunning attacking display, running out comfortable 9-1 winners in an 80-minute contest overseen by referee Lee Hebditch.

Christchurch FC Panthers lined up in a 3-4-1-2 formation, deploying three defenders at the back with Arwan Hassan on the right, James Adams centrally, and Aaron Scullion on the left. The midfield quartet featured Jamie Moore on the right wing, Olly Ray and Dominik Chudy occupying central midfield roles, and Jamie Gray on the left flank. Henri Day operated just behind the two forwards, Daniel Goodson on the right and Emilio Parandian on the left, as the attacking midfielder tasked with linking play and creating chances. This shape promised a blend of defensive solidity, midfield control, and fluid attacking options. No substitutes were named for this fixture.

The first half saw a cagey encounter with few clear-cut chances, as both sides tested each other’s defensive organisation. The half-time whistle arrived with the scoreline still goalless, reflecting a tight opening 40 minutes.

The floodgates opened immediately after the break when Jamie Gray broke the deadlock in the 46th minute, expertly finishing after a precise assist from Daniel Goodson. Just three minutes later, Henri Day doubled the lead with a composed finish, signalling the start of a dominant second half for the Panthers.

Day was relentless, adding a second goal of his own in the 54th minute to extend the advantage. The visitors continued to press, and in the 57th minute, Dominik Chudy found the net following another assist from Goodson, who was proving pivotal in the attacking third.

Henri Day completed his hat-trick in the 62nd minute, this time assisted by Emilio Parandian, showcasing the Panthers’ fluid interplay and clinical finishing. Daniel Goodson then took centre stage, scoring three goals in quick succession. His first came in the 68th minute, set up by Day, followed by a strike in the 70th minute assisted by Jamie Moore, and a third in the 73rd minute again created by Day’s vision.

Dominik Chudy added a second goal of the match in the 75th minute, capitalising on Jamie Moore’s delivery to maintain the relentless scoring spree. Holt United Youth U16 Colts managed a consolation goal in the 78th minute, capitalising on a defensive error from the Panthers, but it did little to dampen the visitors’ celebrations.

Henri Day’s outstanding attacking performance earned him the player of the match accolade, his three goals and creative influence instrumental in Christchurch FC Panthers’ emphatic victory. The referee, Lee Hebditch, maintained control throughout, ensuring a fair and flowing game in front of 29 spectators.

Christchurch FC Panthers’ 3-4-1-2 formation paid dividends, with the midfield and forward lines combining superbly to dismantle Holt United Youth’s defence and secure a commanding 9-1 triumph on the road.
