Home league match

Well another season is over and what a great way to end the season.

CHL played some god football in the first half with Sam Parchment and Nishan Bhaker combining well with Daler Bhaker creating some good Triangular play but although we played the better football the away team had the better opportunities but were only really able to offer long range efforts which were either wide or comfortable for Andy Muschialli.

As a result the first half went by without any goals.

With the manager Mark Gilder making a change at half time, bringing himself on for Martin Doyle and pushing Robert Jackson up front with Nishan Bhaker gave a bit more threat against the Marshalswick defence.

Soon after this change it paid dividends as the defender attempted to clear Robert Was able to divert the clearance through to Sam Parchment who took the opportunity to rifle a shot in from outside the area and although it was on target it took a wicked deflection off the defender to leave the goalkeeper stranded and give CHL the advantage.

The next few attacks were end to end in a very open 2nd half before the opportunity for CHL to double their lead when Goalkeeper Andy Muschialli took a good length goal kick which did find the awat team's midfielder who brought the ball down only to be robbed of possession by Daler Bhaker who released Nishan Bhaker who managed to run through 3 players before slotting past the keeper to make it 2-0.

The away team desperate to get back in to the game did start to pile the pressure on and throw everybody forward, however this was to be unsuccessful until 3 minutes from the end when once such chance did finally have Andy Muschialli beaten only for the chance to be thwarted by and excellent MOM goalline headed clearance by the the team captain Darren Burrows.

Alas from the resulting corner Marshalwick were able to pick up a consolation goal but there it remained and meaning CHL managed the double of their opponents this season.
