Not sure the match was going to go ahead but after a good effort from both teams, the pitch lines were cleared of snow and the game got underway late.

Both teams struggled at first to get used to the conditions and passes were being played well short of their targets.

Unfortunately for CHL Cannon got used to the conditions a lot quicker and they were able to get onto the mishit clearances made by our defence.

They also played long balls which they were able to get on the end of and bypass the defenders. One of which they managed to get clear and score past Andy Muschialli.

CHL Started to get into the game and had a couple of attacks themselves before another long range pass slipped under CHL's skipper Darren Burrows and the onrushing attacker slipped through and scored.

A couple of changes at half time led to a vastly improved 2nd half performance and more attacks against the away team, one of which put Rob Jackson through on the right wing and his powerful pass across the 6 yard box just needed a decent foot on the end to guide it home but Nishan Bhaker was only able to get a slight touch which steared it just past the post.

CHL was far more dominant in the 2nd half but were unable to capitalise and get any goals back.

I felt we deserved a draw overall but we must now focus on next week away to Marshalswick.
