Match Report - WALTON CASUALS JUNIOR TIGERS U12 - 19 Jan 2019

Chipstead moved up to third in the table as a result of a 3 nil win against Walton Casuals.

With a new formation of a four man midfield including Sonny and a lone striker in Aydan, despite the majority of possession in the first 30 mins, Chipstead were unable to score with the Walton keeper making two fine saves from Aydan.

A long delay due to problems with the match ball seem also to affect the team's momentum and at half time the match was finely poised at 0-0.

The second half started with a more determined Chipstead starting to pass the ball more in the manner that had been done on the training ground over the last few weeks. As a result the Walton defence came under increasing pressure.

The first goal was started at the back with a short pass out from Nico to Jack who brought the ball forward. A pinpoint pass was made to Aiden on the right who put a fine through ball to Aydan who gave the Walton keeper no chance.

Three minutes later Aiden scored with a great volley connecting on to a loose ball in the penalty area.

Despite this further setback Walton the began to put their passes together and Nico had to be on fine form to make a save to prevent then from getting a goal back. Minutes later another Walton attack on the right saw their striker through on goal but a combination of another save from Nico and a clearance from Jack prevented any chance of a comeback.

As Walton, with no substitutes available, tired, Aydan added further to his season's goal tally with another well taken shot in the last minute to make it 3 nil.
