First things first.
RIP Rob Staniforth, U12 Alfreton Town Manager, who sadly passed away suddenly this week. Our thoughts are with his family and friends
Now, what a great show of mental and physical strength from the lads today. Our attacking play was outstanding and we are so direct and creative in the final third we were unplayable
After getting pegged back to 2-2 at the end of the first half we told the lads to simply win the second half and we would be winners. We tweaked the formation playing a few lads out of position but playing to their strengths and it paid off (me and Ian are like Klopp).
We won the second half 3-1 with some great play. All our goals were good team or individual goals.
Me and Ian could not be prouder and the lads can hold their heads high.
Player of the week was a tough decision as a lot played out of their skin and it was a real dilemma but, for the first time ever, we gave it for the second week running to Evan (the Darley Dale manager and linesman both said he was unplayable and that made up our minds for us)
