A great battle and what a game it was! Unfortunately, we exit the cup after a loss in extra time against a very good side.
Overton took the lead in the first half, heading in from a corner and deserved the lead after being the better side. At only 1-0 at half time, everything was still to play for!
We levelled shortly after the restart with Sam sending the keeper the wrong way with a penalty. Overton regained the lead to which we replied again with Sam grabbing his second, 2-2.
A great battle in the 2nd half between both sides meant extra time. We took a 3-2 lead after Norton struck a very rare shot, outside the box that hit post and in. A high became a low almost immediately as no more than 2 minutes later Overton scored again, 3-3.
The 2nd half of extra time saw Overton grab a 4th - we dug deep but no luck! Dave Church made some amazing saves to keep us in the game throughout and give us a fighting chance.
We exit the cup but what a game to be involved in! On to the next, UTC! ??
