vs Double H Sunday

Away league match

Cheam started with a different formation and early on it looked like the formation was working a treat with Cheam controlling the game. Double H had their left winger as an outlet who was proving to be a handful on the counter. At the stroke of half time, the dangerous left winger went down under a shoulder barge by Fiesty but was deemed to be a push and a penalty for Double H. The penalty seemed to go towards the left but half the players saying it went in and through the net and half saying it went wide, ultimately the referee gave a goal kick and half time was scoreless.

Second half started and about 15 minutes in Double H scored from a scramble in the box which should’ve been a comfortable save from Dave but he fumbled the ball into his own goal. We hit back quickly with Luke at the byline looping a cross to Matt who acrobatically finished with a bicycle kick close to the goal. We took the lead from a great pass by Simon who played through the speedster Luke who finished the 1-1 with 25 to go. With 10 minutes to go, Double H was awarded a penalty after a good challenge by Tom on the tricky left winger. Most thought it was a clean challenge but the dramatic fall from their winger may have sold the referee. Double H made now mistake with this penalty and levelled the game. Double H had a great chance to win the game but a great block off the line by the skipper Lee ensured that the points were shared.
