Considering it was our first game of the season we started off with a very important win. Right from the first whistle we seemed up for it, playing the all out from the back. With a few half chances going to both teams we finally made it count with a bullet header from a great corner from Ross (I think). This was closely followed by a second goal from Ross. (Can't remember build up).
The third goal came from a very unlikely source, but using his amazing vision, and great right footb Alex Marr scored a screamer of a tap in.
The second half started off a bit slowly but we were still solid at the back. We had a lot of possession and should have scored a few times, with ryan slotting lewis through, and one being cleared off the line. Ricki was clearly pushed by the goal keeper in the box (fuck knows what he was thinking). And put away the penalty. 4-0. Now could we hold on for the clean sheet.... with Headstone seeing a bit more of the ball, they were still yet to create anything. But in the 87th minute we switched off at the back, and the ball sadly landed at their players feet and had an easy tap in.
Overall a great win and plenty more to give from this squad. Roll on the next game.
