Casuals and Pelham fell to a third consecutive pre season defeat as they finished off pre season with a 4-2 defeat to Sawbridgeworth Town. Pelham have a lot of work to do now at the start of the league campaign with their pre season not being as consistent and successful as they had hoped. Same as last Sunday they competed well in the first 20 minutes, taking the lead through Tim Shaw after a long through ball from Liam Perry. However Sawbridgeworth Town didn’t take long to even the scores and then also taking the lead via a soft direct free kick which could have been avoided. Pelham drew the game level at 2-2 towards the end of the first half via a Tim Shaw long ranged effort which should have been saved by the away sides keeper. 2-2 is how it stayed at the half but once again after a good first 20 minutes Pelham became the team on the back foot. The second half Pelham lost their way even more with the away side putting in a dominant second half display. Sawbridgeworth Town took a 3-2 lead after the hour mark and then cemented their lead with 15 minutes to go. The away side continued to control the second half and played out a 4-2 victory.
