Pelham Edged Out In Tight Affair

Casuals and Pelham were just edged out in a tight game at home against Brewer FC. The game was very competitive across the 90 minutes and it could have gone either way. Both teams had good spells of possession with good plays inbetween and created a good number of chances between them. Brewer took the lead in the game in the 33rd minute, breaking the deadlock and opening up the game. That lead was doubled in the 40th minute as Pelham were caught out once again, and they went in to the break 2-0 down to the away side. Pelham needed a big half in the second period in order to get something out of the game, and they started and responded well. Liam Perry struck in the 55th minute with a volley on the edge of the box which crept into the bottom corner. However despite Pelham creating more chances they just couldn't find that cutting edge and the game finished at 2-1 to Brewer FC. Todays man of the match goes to Ant Hamilton-Pilot who has made a real difference at the back since returning to the side.
