Today at the Mersey Road Arena the wee Welsh Wizard, Kieran POPEYE Doyle displayed a virtuoso performance to put Ra Ra Rasputin and his fellow Mystics to the sword! And as a footnote Kevey CARLISLE Roberts scored his usual hat trick like it was just another day at the office!
The first half was cagey cagey cagey and every GILF's favourite toyboy Will Ellison had so little to do he came out of his box and dribbled past 3 players just to relieve the boredom. Dave BARESI Murphy was imperious at the back as Joe Birkett made the female fans swoon with his trademark runs. Even Hedges was moist. In midfield Michael Digga Dinn put all McLean comparisons to bed as he steamrollered his way through the turf like the Trans-Siberian Express! It was a half of few clear cut chances. Bibby went close with a blatant disregard for Team Orders as his free kick just went wide of the post. Doyle took a neat shot on the turn but it was straight at the keeper.

In the second half The Economists stormed the gates like the Bolsheviks storming the Winter Palace! A beautifully floated cross from the Managers personal public school fag, Gary Bibs, found Roberto in the box. He blasted it off the crossbar ala Geoff Hurst and it was over the line withoot the need for a Russian linesman! But the Business never do things easy. Two unstoppable cross come shots from Liobians looped over the head of Ellison into the roof of the net! BUSINESS 1 - LIOBIANS 2!! Sacre Bleu!!! But the Revolutionary Truth of the Business Schools Red Guards knows no bounds!. Digga floated a cross in to Poacher Roberts who dispatched from 6 inches to draw level. Liobians keeper then left the field after his 3rd amputation of the season claiming it was just a flesh wound! Richman on goal was pulled back before firing a shot at the keeper which rebounded for his 2nd bite of the cherry to then hit the bar. At the other end world beater Joe Hart kept the Irish man out with a sublime save with his legs. With minutes to spare the crowd erupted as Richman found The Port Talbot Tornado. He ran 40 yards with two on his tail and slotted hard and low in the keepers right corner. BUSINESS 3 - LIOBIANS 1!!! But the game wasn't over yet Digga pulled up like Devon Loch and Farrell came on to set up Richman who set up Roberts to bag a well deserved hat trick 4 - 2!!! And then the game ended with a piece of comedy gold as Ritchie Rich did his best dying Swan impression to spurn a gilt edged diving header!! PRICELESS!!
