The Business School went from being last seasons street urchins dressed in rags to the Belle of the Ball with their new Pret-a-porter look! The Librarians were beaten before a ball was kicked as their jaded green strip was no match for the purple panache of the Mighty BSFC!!!
The Purples reigned from the first minute to the last as the midfield of Ashley. Bibs and Murray dictated play in the centre of the park. Down the right Doyle the border collie ran his paws off herding liobian sheep. On the left the wild Dingo Steve Schurle hit the corner flag and turned his marker inside out. There's a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it. Stop thinking, let things happen, and be the Ball!!! Unfortunately for Farell and Forster they failed to tune in to this Higher level Zen!!!. Forster like a golfer with the yipps, found himself 2 feet out and blasted over the bar in Rosenthal fashion!! A Liam kick on goal and a Schurle shot were then both cleared off the line. Digga Dinn went off lame and was replaced by Naylor Jnr. The Grant brothers tried their trademark free kick but Murray scuffed his shot. But finally a sublime first touch chip over the top from Timms found Silky Bibs to slot with ease!
HALF TIME: BSFC 1 - LIBRARIANS 0!!!
The 2nd half began with further domination and the one touch football Arsene Hedges demands from his gang of stooges. Birkett, Catchpole and Naylor were solid at the back and Housewives Choice Will Ellison had less than nothing to do. But the second goal just wouldn't come. Richmans hamstring pinged and Roberts was back in play. Farell came on for Doyle and 60 seconds later found himself one on one with the keeper. But Allertons answer to Phil Collins went through an out of body experience still believing he was on the sidelines and placed the ball calmly into the keepers hands. With 10 minutes to go Roberto jinked round his man to the corner flag and launched a cross for Ashley to rise like Lazarus! 2 NIL BUSINESS!! Farell and Forster both redeemed themselves with perfect crosses into the box. Ruud Van Timms met a Farell ball to hit a volley into the roof of the net to bring the game to its foregone conclusion!!
