The Economists succumbed to the malevolent force of The Tempest today and found themselves shipwrecked and stranded and miles from home!
The first half followed perfectly the Managers blueprint with Ellison and Birkett orchestrating play from deep within their own box. Time after Time Duracell Bunny Catchpole played one touch football with Ashley, Bibs and Murray. Possession was building for 10 passes or more leaving Arsene Hedges nursing a semi for the first time in months! The School were coasting and mixed it up with occasional balls over the top for Roberts and Richman to go foraging for goals. On 32 minutes Greta Thunbergs lovechild found himself one on one with the keeper and chipped the ball into the enemy net! HALF TIME: BUSINESS 1 CONVOCATION O!
The second half saw Aerial whip up a hooley tha left the Business School clinging onto a mast with no sail! Sub Jacob Naylor came on at half time but took Elvis Costellos 1980 smash hit 'I can't stand up for falling down' far too literally! Hedges resembled the Tin Man but someone had forgot to oil his joints. The elements, combined with Convocations elixir of youth worked against the Business and an avalanche of goals followed. A shot through a crowd of players, a header out of the keepers hands and a floating free kick left Business School spirits battered and bruised. Naylor Snr came on at the end for TV personality James Argent as watercarrier Marty Larkin tried to engineer a comeback from the sidelines. But Convocations Michael Motherfucker Cha'mone Jackson and his Motown crew saw the game out!!
