As Charles Darwin once said: 'It is not the most intelligent of the species (Karlo Hay) or the strongest of the species (Carl Doherty) that survive, but the most adaptable to their environment' And so today, Elliott Hay showed his full evolution from sulky teenage chimp to a collosus of a fully grown footballer!!! And with his new found maturity he filled in at two positions, he cajoled and encouraged his teammates, he tackled and tracked back like a man possessed and capped off his Man of the Match performance with a goal! Where once there was a Monkey, now walks a Man!!!
For possibly the first time this season, The Business School calmed their early game nerves and played confident passing football out the back. Pirlo senior played in Elliott Pirlo down the right and Simon Pirlo rampaged at Collegiates defence. At the back Tin Man Noote and The Doherty looked as relaxed as the Big Lebowski after a massive spliff! All the constituent parts were working as planned except for little Tommy Pardon who looked like a fish out of water! No legs, no lungs, EXTINCT!!! Domination paid off as Simon Peter hit a rocket from 30 yards out to give Las Economists the lead! The yellow neanderthals were dragging their knuckles and hitting each other with rocks! But a speculative cross saw Geddis tip off the bar only for the ball to fall at the feet of Collegiates Elliott lookielikey! BUSINESS 1 COLLEGIATE 1. A 2ND goal followed quickly but the Rossineri fought back as a solo run by El Hay saw his shot slide under the Keepers body!
HALF TIME: BUSINESS 2 COLLEGIATE 2!!
Minutes into the second half and Geddis palmed another shot wide only for Collegiate to tap home. 2 - 3! Still the Business continued to play all the football but Roberts up front was getting no change out of his battle with the Giant Yellow Grock!! A business attack saw a ball played across the opposition 6 yard box and Simon Pirlo slid to meet ala Gazza 96 but couldn't make contact. The pitch cut up and the legs grew weary before the Collegiates MMA fighter scored 2 more to bag his hat trick and steal the game!
But the Business learned they could outplay the top of the league even with 5 players missing!! BSFC EVOLUTION IS COMING AND IT WON'T BE LONG !!!
