Today at Mill Lane superstar Will Ellison gave a goalkeeping masterclass in a game overshadowed by the technical knockdown of the Geordie Gypsy King Neil Hedges!
Before the game Hedges and Larkin unveiled the new hybrid marking system via the medium of flip chart technology! This was implemented with ruthless efficiency by stand in skipper Dave Murphy who stopped the Albino Orangutan from poaching a goal! In the onion bags Ellison was having a faultless game with all shots sticking to his gloves like an extra sticky sticky bun. The Business started real slow and it took 30 minutes and a Collegiate goal to rouse them from slumber. Finally the Economists started to put some passes together and a chip into the box from the poor man's Joe Birkett found Murphy to knock down for Roberts to head in! The Carlisle Carouser just gets better with age!! BUSINESS 1 COLLEGIATE 1. However, just before half time disaster struck as Collegiate added a second to take the lead going into the break! HALF TIME: BUSINESS 1 COLLEGIATE 2!!
The second half saw Business put pressure on the opposition in and around their box but Murphy and Sefton could not get their shots away. Ashley, Dinn and Bibby started to combine down the right before Collegiate broke away to make it 3! The softest of penalties was saved heroically by Ellison who then followed up with world class saves from point blank range! ALMOND-DOHERTY imposed himself on the enemy before the game descended into Vaudeville farce! A bodyslam on Collegiates Autistic Sevant saw Hedges take an uppercut to the jaw for his trouble . But the gaffa got up on the count of 4 like Gypsy King Fury v Wilder 1!! While Ratboy Slim left the ring to return to the Secure Unit that he likes to call home ???? ! Naylor came on with minutes to go and ran around gayly like a wee Shetland Pony on the first day of spring! ??
