First Game

So first game of the season, starting off i think it was clear to see there were a few nerves in the air, but given 15 minutes we settled into the game, sublime was playing direct football which proved to work for their first goal by their number 14 but what a goal it was no saving that, within 5 minutes though we didn’t panic and got ourselves back level in the game through some lovely link up play from Beth to Nic to finish. There was a couple of chances after that and it was clear we were pushing for another goal, they had a free kick brushed past the post, but try as they may it was handled extremely well by the defense and special mention to Michaela who worked tirelessly to keep their goal scorer at bay. Second half we came out of the blocks and it wasn’t too long before we got our second goal through debut Rosie, almost half way line and chipped the keeper what a superb finish from there on it was all pinks, they had a few chances but nothing was getting past Gill!, 3rd goal was nic again with a beautiful touch past the defender and slotted it home, but we weren’t done there, Gemma won a Vital header to set Beth up to make it 4, great performance from everyone. A superb performance from our captain Jenni who put an absolute shift in leading by example, myself and Megan found it hard to pick a player of the match but with 2 goals, some great hold up play and closing down it had to be Nic.
