A cold and wet Sunday night. The first 9 aside game against a good opposition which turned into a great battle. Nothing much in the game, Natalie pulling of some great saves with her defenders putting their body on the line. They scored a goal against the run of the play, down the left side and sneaked the ball in the near post. We created chances to equalise and just couldn't take them. Zoe leading the attack superbly with the help of Hanna, Abbie and Ionee.
Second half started off really well. Hannah and Demi was starting to control the centre of midfield with some tough challenges going in. Unfortunate goal to concede with Terri using her hand. Didn't stop the whites from going forward and had the opportunity to pull one back from the penalty spot. Hanna brilliantly took the ball into the box and got fouled. Zoe stepped up and put it inches wide. Still chances came for the whites with caitlin having a couple of shots saved by the opposing keeper.
Brilliant individual and team effort by the whites. Good fun and looking forward to the next match.
