Match Report - BPRO - 27 Feb 2023

The confidence and growth in the team in the past 3 months have been remarkable. Could the greens keep the winning streak up?

The message was to start fast, and Em set the tone from the first kick, chasing down their defender, winning the ball, and having a shot on goal within the first 15 seconds. In the first 5 minutes, the players adapted and controlled everything, and it became seconds before we created another chance.

The first goal was probably the best team goal of the season, starting from winning the ball in midfielder, passing the ball to Dan (ON THE RIGHT) who provided an inch perfect cross for left winger Bex who headed home. Astonishing team goal.

B-Pro started to get into the game, causing a few problems with Nat bravely keeping the ball from their attackers. Another solid performance from greens number 1.

The second goal came from another great assist this time from Lucy with Bex shooting hard and low, giving the goalkeeper no chance.

The message at half time was to ensure this game was put away as early as possible. With B-Pro looking to threaten, it was key for the defenders to stay concentrated. They did just that with some excellent defending from Lauren, Charlotte, hayley, Demi, and Shuniece.

Once again, Em led the line really well doing all the hard work, allowing others around her to pick up loose balls. This allowed Sophie to pick a ball up and drill home the 3rd goal and seal the game. From that 3rd goal, it was only one way traffic, and Steff and Rachel were just setting the attacks off, and football being played on a tight pitch was fantastic to watch. 2 late goals by Lucy and Sophie capped of a great win.

A fantastic team performance yet again by the Green team. Well done all!
