This match saw Buckden FC host Chatteris Town FC. Conditions were not the best, with the strong wind and the low sun, however, with last weeks match being called off, Buckden were fired up and keen to get going. Chatteris, with a suspiciously different squad, were to kick off first. The game was under way.

Buckden began with a strong start, passing the ball with confidence and creating chances. Westbury and Shane were allowed freedom in the middle of the park to get the ball out wide to the wingers. The first goal came from a well delivered corner by Shane, headed in by Chris Dennis. This gave Buckden an extra boost to keep them pushing for more. Chatteris were not looking as strong, with minimal chances in the fist half. Buckden were looking comfortable on the ball, Noodles and Browny making runs down the flanks, and Dennis and Kieran looking solid at the back not letting anything past. Buckden were 4-0 up at half time, goals coming from Sam, Shane and Josh Smith. Buckden went in at half time with spirits high.

The start of the second half was a different story to the first half ended as Buckden seemed to have switched off, letting Chatteris knock in two. Both goals came from set pieces, Buckden getting beaten in the air from two headers. They didn’t let their heads drop though as they started creating more chances and playing good football. The wingers linking up well with Josh Smith and G, continuously pushing forward. Substitutions were made later on, Fennell, Owen, Dom and Liam- all playing well and looking comfortable on the ball. More goals came from Buckden, a beautifully lofted ball over to the far post as G struck it perfectly on the volley. The two other goals came from Fennell and G once more.
