The Perfect weather for a game of football absolutely pissing down!
Corries started well knocking the ball about and getting stuck in. Danny and Alex caused Pure lots of problems down the wings. A great one two between lovers Alex and Mason allowed Alex to calmly finish to the keepers left. Pure did come back into the game and their No 10 looked very dangerous but Corries kept him to long range shots. A few more chances before the break for corries but we couldn't get the second goal.
Our skipper had to come off at half time and on in his place was Robbie, just the weather for some of his trademark tackles! (booked after 10 mins)
Corries played some great football with some brilliant one touch passing between the front 3, strong play in the middle by Jack, Scotty and Robbie and calm defending by the back 4. Our second goal came from a beautiful freekick by Scotty, whipped into the near post, Robbie gambled and forced the ball to Mason who tapped it home for his 1st of the season. Corries were in complete control of the game and our third was similar to the second. Another trademark Scotty freekick whipped front post, mason got in front of his man to head it in. 3-0 Game over!
A really good win against a good side who played some great football at times. We were Strong throughout the team and it could of been 5/6.
