Our First Ever Ressies Match!

First ressies match went really well and I couldn't be prouder of the lads getting a 1-1 draw with top of the league considering we hadn't played together before.

We started the game really well keeping the ball on the deck on a horrible wet and windy day.

A new centre back pairing started the game "multi Sam" and they were amazing keeping it calm and collected passing from the back.

Notably Sam Monk did a crazy cool bicycle cushioned volley tackle, the second best tackle of the day after Jamie Moroneys amazing slide tackle on the half way line.

Half way through the first half they scored from a corner against the run of play. In all fairness James Mckimm shouldve caught it but we don't point fingers in this club ??

After going down we didn't let our heads drop and kept on playing our passing game. We had a couple of chances through Deondre and Santos and had them on the ropes before Kacper had an altercation with one of their moaning players and all hell broke loose with both teams almost getting in a fight. Half time couldn't come too soon for them as we were on top.

At the start of the second half we had all the new lads playing together on the pitch and no one looked out of place. After some masterful managing, a little change in formation and bringing the polish destroyer Lukasz back on. The ball had come out from the back and passed to Santos' feet in his new number 10 role. He turned found deondres feet on the left hand edge of the area hes cut back onto his right and had a shot. The keeper couldn't hold onto the rocket and after hit a defender or 3 it fell to the destroyers feet and he slammed the ball into the net for the ressies first goal.

The last 20 minutes we were all over them and we could've got a winner but fate was happy for us to draw as was I.

The whole team were amazing but man of the match can only be one person, and after a very close vote from the players Sam Monk just edged it with his blistering center half performance. Well done mate.
