MATCH SUMMARY : The View (17 September 2016)

<p class="MsoNormal">Both teams enjoyed the early play but after 12 minutes The View picked up the ball on their left wing, their player played the ball back across the area and it was a simple tap in for their player to score. BBOB fought back and created several chances. In the 34th minute the ball as played out to Maro on the right, he beat two players and was brought down by a heavy challenge in the penalty area. The referee awarded a penalty which was converted by Dan Buchanan to make the score 1-1. In the dying minutes of the first half Maro made another run down the right and clinically fouled. The resultant free kick was cleared by their defence for a corner but we could not score from it.

<p class="MsoNormal">In the second half the BBOB played some good football and were by far the better team. In the 55 minute Christian pick up a slight injury and was replaced by Scott, 2 minutes later Scott replaced Seb. The View had a good shot saved by Mike in goal, two minutes the BBOB made some good moves through the middle and the resultant shot was saved by The View&rsquo;s goalie, who launched the ball up the middle to start a counter attack, they hit a fierce shot at goal that was well saved by Mike. In the 67 minute H picked up the ball just inside The Views half, he calmly slotted through to Mar who ran at their defence, unfortunately his final touch was a bit heavy and he put the ball out for a goal kick. In the 70 minute Maro picked up the ball on the edge of their area and hit a ferrous shot which flew just wide of the goal. Five minutes later Duncan crossed the ball from the right into the area where H&rsquo;s shot was deflected for a corner. In the 85 minute the referee award a dubious free kick just outside our penalty area. Their player hit the ball over the BBOB wall and it flew into the top right corner to make it 2-1 to The View. BBOB continued to pile on the pressure and somehow, in the 86th minute, the ball was cleared off the line in a goal mouth scramble that came from a corner taken by Luke.

<p class="MsoNormal">A very good performance in a game which we did not deserve to lose.
