BBOB were now unbeaten in the last four games but could they continue with a weaken side due to injuries and non-availability, out were Alister, Jac, Joe Marshall, Mike and Sam, replacing them were Adam, H, Joe Howard, Jonah and new signing Rich Colby. Without a recognised goalkeeper, Dan Buchanan volunteered to go in goal

BBOB stated slowly and The Lectern had had all the early play, in the 8th minute Adam conceded a corner on our left, the ball was played high to the far post where their unmarked player headed the ball into the net. It wasn’t until the 14th minute before BBOB launch their first real attack, Ben crossing the ball from the right into the middle to H, whose first touch let him down and their defender managed to clear the ball, but BBOB had a good five minutes before Adam got injured and in the 18th minute replaced Dan in goal. He made a good save a few minutes later pushing the ball wide of the post for a corner on the Lectern left, again the ball was played high to the far post where their forward had an easy header to make it 2-0. BBOB fought back and in the 25th minute Ben played a ball into the middle to George, he ran past a couple of players and placed the ball wide of the goalie to make it 2-1 and his goal for the Club.

The Lectern continued to attack and pressurise the BBOB defence and won a free kick in the 34th minute, Jonah defended the ball and put it out for a corner on The Lectern right from which they scored their third goal, again from a header. Two minutes after this Adam, who was struggling to kick the ball with his injury, mis-kicked the ball straight to a Lectern player who lobbed Adam to make 4-1. Then two minutes later they attacked down their left, their player got behind Fletch, crossed the ball into the middle and their forward had an easy tap in, 5-1 and that’s how it remained at half time.

BBOB regrouped and started the second half well even though Seb was carrying an injury. In the 55th minute Fletch strained his thigh and was replaced by Luc. BBOB reorganised with Paul going to right back, Jonah coming back into central defence and Luc going upfront. BBOB had a few shots on goal from H, Rich and Jonah and the attacking paid off when in the 75th minute Dan was brought down in the penalty area, he took the penalty placing the ball mid height in the far-left hand corner of the goal to make it 5-2. However, in the 83rd minute The Lectern broke down the left and fired a shot to make it 6-2. BBOB battled to the end with a late strike from H from a ball played to him by Ben.

A disappointing result but BBOB battled well with the changed side and injuries.
