Home league match
A changed side from last week due to player injury and unavailability. BBOB started well an early shot on goal from Seb went just wide of the left post, Northbrook had two consecutive corners before the BBOB defence cleared the ball upfield. In the 8th minute Northbrook broke down their right and hit a shot from the right wing which just went over the bar, and 10 minutes later hit another shot over the bar following a clearance from their goalie. In the 17th minute Jac picked up the ball just inside the Northbrook half, jiggled past a couple of players before hitting a shot to the left of the Northbrook goalie and into the bottom corner to give BBOB the lead. H was playing well in midfield and harassing their players, in the 22nd minute he played a ball from our right into Joe Marshall in the centre, Joe's shot went just over the bar, 10 minutes later saw an almost identical move, this time Joe made no mistake and scored the second goal for BBOB and BBOB went into the half time break 2-0 up.
Again BBOB started the second half well and created chances but Northbrook started pressurising the BBOB defence and came close to scoring in the 54th minute when their shot from the right rolled just past the far post. In the 60th minute Paul was replaced by Jonah in defence and five minutes later Seb came off for Jake. In the 70th minute Northbrook got back into the game scoring from a close range header from a long throw in from their right. Dan Buchanan picked up a yellow card in the 75th minute for consistent infringements. BBOB made their final substitution in the 83rd minute when Ben was replaced by Sam. The final few minutes were tense, Steve, manager, was feeling the pressure shouting at the referee how much longer he was going to play as we were already in the 2nd minute of stoppage time. Shortly after the referee blew the final whistle and BBOB recorded their 2nd win of the season and back to back wins.
