BBOB got their first win of the season with a convincing victory over Maybridge. Adam Leaver and Joe Howard had their first games of the season, both playing at center back.
BBOB took the lead in the 9th minute after H play a short pass to Joe Marshall who calmly placed the ball to the left of the Maybridge keeper. BBOB dominated the first half but didn't capitalise on their chances. Adam cleared off the line just before half time to ensure BBOB took their slender lead into the second half.
Steve made two changes at half time bring on Seb and James for Wills and Ben.
Seb was brought down in the penalty area three minutes after the start of the second half,after dribbling through the Maybridge defense, Jac stepped up to take the penalty, he placed it to the right of the goalie who managed to get a hand to it, fortunately Jac was following up and tapped the ball into the net to make it 2-0 to BBOB.
BBOB allowed Maybridge back into the game, Sam Carter got injured and had to go off the pitch for treatment, while BBOB were down to ten men Maybridge scored a spectacular goal in the 58th minute when their player volleyed the ball from their left wing past Mike in goal to make it 1-2. Straight after the goal Steve replaced the injured Sam. Maybridge created several chances but were unable to convert any of them.
James brought some pace to the BBOB attack and made several runs and shots at goal, in the 95th minute Joe Marshal passed the ball to James on the left he ran towards goal and hit his shot passed the keeper to the far side of the goal to make it 1-3.
A deserved win for the BBOB but they made hard work of it in the half.
