The match kicked off at 10:00 am, setting the stage for an intense encounter in this 7-a-side format.
The Panthers lined up in a 2-3-1 formation, designed to provide a solid defensive base while allowing for attacking support from the midfield. Ray Vincent took his position as the goalkeeper, tasked with guarding the net against the Venoms' advances. In front of him, the central defensive duo of Alexander Shuter and Brodie Glenn were expected to provide a robust barrier against the opposition's forwards. The midfield trio comprised Alfie Coupland on the right, Joey Warren in the centre, and Max Hinds on the left, each responsible for linking defence and attack while also providing width. Up front, Harry Wardley was positioned as the lone striker, aiming to convert any chances that came his way.

Just six minutes later, in the 25th minute, Sandiacre doubled their advantage, leaving the Panthers with a mountain to climb as they headed into the half-time break trailing 2-0.
