The match kicked off at 10:00 am, and it quickly became apparent that the Panthers would have to dig deep to compete against their well-organised opponents.
The Panthers lined up in a 2-1-2-1 formation, with Jacob Fisher taking his position as goalkeeper. In front of him, the central defensive pairing of Alexander Shuter and Brodie Glenn was tasked with providing a solid backline. Joey Warren operated as the central midfielder, expected to link play between defence and attack.
