Feisty start to the season.
An excellent match to start the season, and as mentioned to all the players at the end - everyone put in 100% effort in to the game. There was considerable provocation from some of the opposition players - which we stood up to. However I did say at half time that we as a team should not get drawn in to this and react. If we do, we will lose focus on our game.
After a tight first half, with 2 excellent goals on debut from Noah, in the 2nd half we did seem to get distracted by the other team and concentrated on what they were saying rather than on our own game.
I'm sure if we had goal line technology at Bollington Noah would have claimed a hat-trick and won the game. However we can be thankful for some excellent defending and in particular goalkeeping from Zac for keeping the score to 2-2 (and earning MOM). A special well done to Chris who was prepared to play despite carrying a knock.
The match was a good base to start from and allowed me to see some of the new players for Bears played. Over the next few weeks I will hope to work out the best positions for people - whilst giving eveyone suitable game time.
