The tube strike didn’t deter us but we lost Rich before kick off to a domestic emergency, happily nothing serious.

We were discussing the line up amongst ourselves, Burty passed to Stu who was debating whether Conrad should play for us or them missed the pass and they banged it in the top corner for 1-0. Another good long range strike aided by a slight deflection and it was 2-0.

Chris turned up at half time looking like he wanted to take a weeks worth of work frustration out on someone. We immediately went up a gear, Alex driving up the left, having a shot blocked and followed up for the rebound, 1-2.

Bit of a goalkeeping calamity and it was 1-3, before Chris found the net with a cheeky outside of the boot lob, 3-2.

They scored again and missed a penalty after an audacious tip over from centre half Stefano.

Burty with a cross that crept in for 3-4, Alex missed one virtually on the goal line before making amends with a scruffy goal, in off the post and defender for 4-all. But they all count and a useful draw against a younger useful opponent.

Phew.

Some strong shouts for MotM for Alex and Chris, but Alex ruled out on non-pub attendance, Burty sneaking it with an impressive display in an unfamiliar false 9 role.
