BoC F.C. 6 vs 4 Harretons

We very charitably gave Harretons a 2 goal head start. The first one we were just too slow to close a situation down and the second took a wicked deflection and rolled in slow motion into the opposite side of the goal from Tyson.

We finally got possession of the ball and Paul got a couple of goals back, from Ben and Chris assists.

2-2 at the impromptu hydration break. It was hotter than hell, although the near pitch does at least have a little shade.

Chris banged a loose ball into the roof of the net, to complete the comeback. The oppo's best midfielder then slammed in a good shot from the edge of the area, which took a small deflection. Paul got it back to 4-3. I think this was the goal where he absolutely skinned their slow older defender. Annoyingly though, they dug an amazing cross out from the left and the striker nodded in, for a good goal.

Ben had departed at that point, feeling his hamstring, so we were down to 10, with no sub available.

Sam launched a great through ball, which Paul latched onto for his 4th goal. We coaxed a ringer off the sidelines to make up the numbers and he only bloody scored, chasing down a through ball. 6-4 and finally we had a bit of breathing space.

We played some decent stuff, when we woke up and Paul was on fire, which certainly helped. Their goalie did not help himself either by remaining routed to his line, when if he had attempted to narrow the angle I think he would have had a lot more joy. He was a bit injured though and maybe that hampered him. In contrast, Tyson did not have a great deal to do.
