New oppo, no matching kit, a girl playing right wing, not for the first time in this type of situation we completely understand-estimated them.

Paul continuing his very hot streak opened the scoring hammering in at the near post.

But then it fell apart a little. The girl winger fed a lanky useless looking fella who burst into the box and fired smartly past Tyson. They whacked in a loose ball in the box and by the time their striker ran the length of the pitch from our corner, dumping me on my backside, it was 3-1 to the new oppo. They added a fourth before the break too.

A couple of tweaks at the break, Ily and Tony switching positions and Andy and Charlie doing the same. But the second half started badly and it was 1-5 almost directly after the restart. So it turns out they were a decent team and had a couple of very good players.

But we rolled our sleeves up and tried to salvage some pride at least. Sam probably the personification of this, charging around and trying to give us a lift.

Ilyas fed Paul, 2-5. Paul won and converted a penalty, 3-5 and another hat trick for him, but time was running out.

Rich replaced Stu and the last ten minutes we went a bit beserk. Great cross from wide left by Tony and guided home by Ben, 4-5.

Tony scuffed one but it took a deflection for an oppo oggy, which was the equaliser.

But what turned out to be the winner was a beautiful goal - peach of a cross from Ben and bravely headed in by Tony.

We even had time to stretch the lead with goals from Ollie and Charlie to put some gloss on the score.

In truth, a draw might have been fairer.

The whole oppo team then went to the pub, which we were impressed by.
