Jock Strap Tight At The Back

<p>A narrow loss for BOC in a close encounter with Alan Shearer's Jock Strap. BOC needed 4 ringers to make up the numbers; Joe and Woody two mates of Tom down to the big smoke for the weekend, Danilo (just happened to be wandering past) and Max from F&P. Tyson still out injured, so BIG THANKS to Tom, Andy, Phil and cousin Andy for doing a quarter each in goal. We started with 9 until the cavalry arrived.

<p>To be honest there wasn't a huge amount of goal mouth action to report on. ASJS were well organised, and had to be, as they fielded 10 for the entire game. They got their goal towards the end of the first half, just as we got up to having the fulll complement of players. They deserved the lead as they had the better of the first half, and perhaps took more advantage of the extra player than we did in the second half. I think I was at fault for their goal, but have deleted the details from my memory so can't retell it here.

<p>In the second half we had loads of possession, but couldnt break them down. Chances that I remember both fell to Tom, one from an Intertoto cross that met his head and rebounded at a jaunty angle, and the other a deft lob attempt at the death which just evaded the goal at the far post.

<p>Overall ASJS deserved it. We will have 11 without ringers one day soon.
