We can teach the boys lots of things but the desire to work hard and get back into games comes from them and in this game they show great spirit.
After conceding first Zac got West off the mark from a Rudy pass. But the pattern of this one has us falling behind after fighting back into it. 2-1 Mountfield.
This time a through ball from Harry led to a West goal. The debate rages as to whether Zac had a touch or it was an OG. Maybe not as conclusive as Matip’s winner for Spurs later (one for you James & Lee) it’s one for the dubious goals committee.
Next Joel got into the mix for a well deserved goal after another battling performance today.
An OG from Mountfield followed (yes James that’s 3 today…) But they also got one of their own to cancel it out. 4-4 going into the final phase of the game.
Cue Rudy BAM BAM Boulton - a searing run past 3 defenders, he shoots from the edge of the box and smashes it into top bins ????????
Nerves were settled a few minutes later as Rudy turned provider for Zac.
Final score 6-4 to the Black Cats.

Special mention to Kole and Cian today who had outstanding games to keep Mountfield at bay.
