BJFC continued their title charge in style with a gritty win against another classy opponent.
It looked like it'd be a long night for the Juniors as only five of the lads turned up on time. Despite conceding early once again, a Ryan Craig inspired comeback saw the Juniors take a 4-1 lead by half time. From then on, after each lapse in concentration, the boys showed immense character as they kept in front.
As well as being the pivotal figure in the second half, captain Harri Saunders seems to be intent on leading his own fashion revolution, having appeared in red shorts today. There's talk of swathes of fashionistas donning the 'Saunders look' down Carnaby Street, as he prepares to release his own H&M range.
Talking of new kit, Harry Van Der Hoek has opted to switch from his trusted soul destroyers to a classy pair of white loafers. Unfortunately they didn't help him onto the scoresheet today, as he was thwarted by the keeper, the frame of the goal, and the ref.
Ryan's kit was also in high demand, as some lad in a city shirt unfathomably asked to swap tops at the end. Ryan kindly rejected, as he enjoys being mistaken for Rivaldo in the street.
The more regrettable news this week is that Tom Coulthard appears to have picked up a knock that may rule him out of next week's fixture. His ankle swelled up to the size of a small continent, so it looks unlikely that he'll turn out for the Juniors next Monday.
We're also worried about James Edwards. He didn't turn up today, so if anyone has seen him please contact the BJFC hotline. James, if you're out there, stay strong. We've not given up on you.
Hakuna Juan Mata. What a wonderful phrase.
