Berocca Juniors once again showed that they're title contenders, with a win more comfortable than those John Lewis cashmere drapes that caught your eye last Christmas.

After Ryan Craig was lost in a bunker sandstorm earlier today, and with Tom Coulthard already ruled out through injury, the Juniors took to the field with a significantly reduced goal threat.

Since Coulthard couldn't play, Saunders regained his place in the Gaffer's Starting V. With the club captain back in the side, James Edwards had to give up the armband that he'd been waiting to wear since making his debut back when Bananarama were number one in the US charts.

The boys started brightly but struggled to break the deadlock early on. Eventually Will Nicoll won a penalty after confusing a defender enough to make him run into the box, which Saunders converted with aplomb.

Saunders returned the favour moments later, setting up Nicoll, before a Harry Van Der Hoek shot rebounded to Saunders for a tap in. Nicoll converted again before the break to give the lads a 4-1 lead at half-time.

Though the opposition were gifted a goal as dubious as Sharon Osbourne's hair, further goals from Harry Van Der Hoek and Harri Saunders gave the Juniors a well deserved victory.

Niall Nagar even got on the scoresheet with a smart turn and low left-footed strike. He's reached a milestone for the club, scoring five in his thirty games, and netting his first since James Edwards' 40th birthday.

We're really hopeful of a strong finish in this Soccer Gods season, with silverware potentially on the cards. We hope you're as excited as we are.
