First game back in the Warrington League, with the lads buzzing and looking smart in their new away kit.
What a start! The chances and goals flowed early on, as they hunted and pressed the ball with vigour, using it really well to create plenty of chances.
More of the same in the second half, the performance level didn’t drop as we rotated the lads around through the game. Cromwell came into the game more in the second half but our keeper and defenders kept them at bay time and again.
The boys tried to play it short on the floor but on a tough surface it was good longer passes that were most effective from GK Sandro, Leo and Blake, Oliver was solid and organised defensively and showed calmness on the ball, Axel tackled and passed well and also went close to scoring, Luca was a threat all game on the wing and added some nice finishing, while Harry worked well as first line of defence, winning battles and finishing well.
Coaches MOM was Abel, full of hard work, trying nice passes, a good goal and number of assists.
Parents MOM was Leo, his passing into space to create chances and his constant work rate to win the ball back really helped the team.
Some really complimentary and well deserved comments about our GK Sandro at the end of the game from the Cromwell coach were nice to see.
