Another early start in wigan. A cold, wet & windy morning for the boys but they were all up for it.
The game started very even with both teams moving the ball about well but with the rain overnight the pitch was very slick. Cherrybrook took the lead after 5 minutes but just a minute later the boys struck back and after some great pressure Harry forced the mistake & Abel finished. It didn’t take long for the opposition to go back in front for a well worked goal. The bouts picked themselves back up and after a mazy run Harry crossed for Eddie to lay on to Abel at the back post for an easy finish. Oliver was busy at the back but had everything under control and played a lovely ball to Harry who broke through to score a brilliant goal to take us in front at the break.
We started the 2nd half well with Eddie scoring his 1st goal for Santos sports. Both Leo & Luca were in great shape with Leo making some brilliant cross field passes and Luca causing problems upfront and took a few kicks whilst dancing through their defence. Cherrybrook then scored a thunder rocket free kick which brought the game within 1 goal with 10 minutes left. The boys never panicked though and continued to move the ball well with their keeper making some great saves until the final minute with Harry making a mazy run through the middle to lay Abel on to get his 2 hatrick in 2 weeks.
Both Dean & Si were made were made up with the attitude & effort from every player today.
