BCH Football Team faced GM FC in a friendly encounter at the Ujemen Primary School Field on 6th July 2025, where they succumbed to a narrow defeat, finishing the match 1-2. The game kicked off at 2:00 pm and provided a competitive atmosphere for both teams, with BCH striving to make an impact but ultimately falling short.
BCH lined up in a 4-2-1-3 formation, which featured a solid defensive line comprising two central defenders, I. Samson and E. Idan, flanked by right defender J. Peter and left defender B. Praise. In front of them, the midfield duo of R. Sure and E. Flexy were tasked with both defensive duties and transitioning the ball forward. E. Power operated as the attacking midfielder, looking to create opportunities for the front three, which consisted of right forward Chm Kingsley, striker O. Stanley, and left forward E. Isiah.
The first half saw both teams probing for openings, but it was GM FC who struck first. Their attacking play was relentless, and they found the back of the net, taking a 1-0 lead. BCH, however, did not let their heads drop and continued to press forward, looking for an equaliser. As the half progressed, BCH's defence, marshalled by I. Samson, held firm against GM FC's advances, ensuring the score remained 1-0 at the half-time whistle.
Following the break, BCH emerged with renewed vigour, determined to turn the tide in their favour. Their efforts paid off when they managed to find a goal, bringing the score to 2-1. The goal injected a surge of confidence into the team, and they began to dominate possession, creating several chances to equalize.
BCH fought valiantly in the closing stages, pushing for another equaliser, but despite their best efforts, they could not find the breakthrough.
