Top notch showing again by the lads racking up the teams 3rd win in a row, something i think might be a first for the club! Josh Pepperdiamedico Hill put us up 1 zip in the first half after slotting in another tenner into the Pokie Machine we like the call the back of the net to finish off a nice team goal. Shortly after we got a bit leaky and inevitably let one through the defence making it 1-1. Although still the first half, we needed a hero. Enter. Chin Smith and the magic of his left peg. Indeed a worthy entry to this years Goal of the Year. Middle third of the pitch? fuck no problem he says, ball in from the left, takes a touch.. not much on might swivel and have a look? Yeah on, some may call it a fluke but we all know he's been saving this for the right time. Have a hit is the call.. He's only gone and done it.. perfectly curls the oversized tennis ball into the dirtiest right hand top bin. Fucken 2-1 fellas. Half time .Change of ref. We get a few good calls and the other team didn't like it, game heats up. We get a pen. Harry Hawkins swaggers on over like King Joffrey the heir to the Pen Kicking throne (spoiler alert).. he indeed chokes and throws away his claim to the Iron Throne, who will step up?? About half way through the last half yours truly pounces on a deflected shot off the keeper to volley past the keeper, of course the other team has a lil whine and cry protesting the ball/foot/anything was over the line?? Course not the goal stands. We get a 2 goal buffer and a fucken run towards the Finals. Notable mentions to Reece Baily, Jayden Slikky Williams who performed well and of coarse the lead ultra Rylo Baggins . Was a solid team effort. GG. 3 games and 3 wins. Perfect start.
