Ballymun V Tempelouge

Ballymun hosted league leaders Tempelouge on Saturday morning, hoping to cause an upset in the title race the young mun knew it would be a tough task. Tempelouge took the lead through a penalty which was given for hand ball. Ballymun being 1-0 down reacted well and didn’t give them much joy creating a couple of really good chances but just cannot seem to put them away. Going into the break at just 1-0 everything to play for in the second half with only 11 men it was an even bigger ask from the lads but they started off brightly. Rian and Tadhg looking sharp cian B as ever a major threat on the right but it was the skipper lj who popped up to level it with a crazy goal which seemed to go over the line when everyone thought otherwise.. we took it. 1-1 the lads then had the league leaders on the ropes for the next 10-15 mins piling on the pressure but couldn’t find a second, Tempelouge then had a throw which wasn’t cleared by Ryan and their midfielder hit a strike which was saved but fell to the #9 who scored and narrowly got Tempelouge over the line in a really cagey game. Having 11 men the lads were really unlucky not to come away with at least a point.
