Ballymun V Peamount SFAI Last 32

Ballymun welcomed Peamount on Saturday morning in their first competitive game since before the break. Ballymun prepared well during the week for this huge game and they went into it with the world of confidence. Ballymun started very strong dominating the ball in the early stages and found the lead through Joseph O Callaghan thanks to a goalkeeper mistake. Peamount responded immediately and levelled the scoring. Then another moment of magic from Lj Cobbe who scored an absolute screamer to take ballymun into a 2-1 lead at half time. As the game progressed ballymun played some great football and pressed really well from the front forcing Peamount into numerous mistakes. Ballymun caught the ball from a goal kick and Lj got his second of the day with a well taken volley to give Ballymun a bit of breathing space. Then a couple of minutes from the end Tadhg King topped off his brilliant performance with a great solo goal which he fired into the top corner and Ballymun saw the game out to move into the next round with a comprehensive 4-1 win.
