Palmerstown V Ballymun United

Ballymun traveled to the south side on Saturday morning to play Palmerstown FC, the lads were hoping to maintain their recent form and pick up three vital points to move up the table, Ballymun started off to a flyer and gained the lead inside 4 mins thanks to a goalmouth scramble which fell to the feet of Cian Borromeo to get it over the line. The lads grew in confidence and seemed to dominate the ball in areas of the pitch they could of added a second shortly after through Felipe but he just couldn’t latch onto the loose ball in the box. Felipe then chased down a long ball which caught the opposition in two minds with the keeper flying out and he cleared the ball to the feet of Cian once again who had a glance and lobbed the ball into the net to make it 2-0. Well deserving lead going into the break ballymun stepped it up creating even more chances on the break which on another day would of went in. Lj Cian Tadhg and Daniel all came close to making it 3-0 but Palmerstown held on. They then scored from a well struck strike on the corner of the area but Ballymun defended brilliantly and held on to claim all three points. That’s three wins in a row for the young Mun, who are progressing in the right direction.
