Lourdes V Ballymun

Ballymun travelled to play high flying Lourdes Celtic in sundrive this morning, Ballymun seeking a win to be back on track in the league and lourdes looking to put the pressure on top spot. Ballymun started the game brilliantly with some great movement and determination early on looking for the opener. Chances were always going to come today and that they did early on to a number of lads but it just wouldn’t go in. As the game progressed Ballymun dictated how it went controlling the game for the majority. 0-0 at half time was tough on the lads but they came out second half all guns blazing and Tadhg rushing into the box was chopped down, peno for Ballymun up stepped skipper Lj who converted as always to make it 1-0. Shortly after Cian Borromeo smashed a shot into the roof of the net to make it 2-0. Ballymun then hit chance after chance and looked to kill the game but lourdes got one back through a defensive effor. Ballymun held on to claim and commanding and well deserved 3 points.
