Ballymun V Glebe

The young mun hosted Glebe in their final home match of the season. With a change in formation the lads started off brilliantly as ever dominating play and putting themselves about. Glebe were awkward and a lot of hoof ball but was answered by the ballymun back line every time, as the game went on ballymun hit the bar from range through Rian, and went close through lj and cian B at times. 0-0 at the break ballymun came out on top in the second half looking like a serious threat they finally broke the deadlock through an outstanding free kick from the skipper Lj to give the men a deserved lead. Shortly after there was huge controversy as the glebe winger appeared to handle the ball into his stride and slide it across goal for a tap in 1-1. Goal was a really bad decision by the referee. This didn’t help as ballymun had two huge appeals for penalties which were denied. Glebe then scored a free kick of their own a scrappy one but it found its way in. Ballymun came so close to equalising at the end but just couldn’t get a bit of luck. They we’re absolutely outstanding each and every one of them. Mentions to Connor and Aaron at the back who commanded and organised everything. Tadhg king with his best performance in a ballymun shirt all season just edges MOTM. We will meet Glebe again Monday for the final game.
