B Town's second pre-season freindly was a tale of two, 20 minute periods of controlled dominant possesion in a game that had a nice setting and club house. The secluded, (other than the angry tennis mob) county pitch and little bit of cloud cover framed the fixture nicely... at least at first glance. After setting foot on the hard, ankle rolling terrain and gotten ambushed by the inexplicably angry, Tuskan Raiders of Tattooine, just before the cauldren like heat, pressed in on us, we realised we had a tough game.

Sussex coast, boasted some devastating pace and a thumping cave troll, who's like, probably fuelled the imagination of Tolkien himself. They proved early that there were no qualms about being whiny, kicking, unsporting hot heads and after a good early spell, including some great balls from the back and down the channels, S C started to press, drive and kick there way to dominance, grabbing two quick goals in the second half.

B Town bounced back though and after getting back our shape and a little composure, showed some good forward play, forcing and own goal, before a well played equaliser.

Plenty of defending had to be done throughout but strong aerial presence from B Town kept the opposition limited to the deck and the dogged work from all in the middle managed to limit scoring chances. We on the other hand, racked up a series of good opportunities with the dangerous wide play from Harry and Craig, Callum McK's constant short passing and movement and plenty of moments from Rino and Ben, doing what they do. Difficult game for Ray and Squibbs, who were feeding on morsells down the middle but a wonderful save, low down to Migs' right at the death, denied a certain winner. Made more impressive by the fact that he'd been relatively untested for near 90 minutes ! But on the day, not a single player didn't work their socks soggy, in difficult conditions. We lacked some confidence at times but another game together and another step in a positive direction.

Perfect example of a squad effort today boys, when we find our harmony, this will be a fun season but it won't be without hard work and team morale. Big up yourselves.
