Today was a day when we knew we were in for a very hard game with in form New Zealand coming to Cuddington. The game started at a great pace and it wasn't long before newly signed Shane Almond had put the visitors ahead, this was how the game stayed until half time and it was clear to see the NZ were struggling with some fitness issues. However they continued to battle very hard with there lead which was doubled early on in the second halve when seemingly the striker had caught the ball, all the Dynamos defence stopped and he calmly put the ball in the net for the referee to totally ignore it. However the heads didn't drop and we had to make a change up top as it just wasn't happening for whatever reason, the battling spirit was amazing as many teams heads would have dropped after missing a penalty earlier in the game. Anyhow no sooner than they got the second we went up the other end and Ellis Goodin bent a sweet shoot around the keeper who had only just come on, game on, then a few minutes later Ellis was there again to prod the ball home from a short distance, At this point the NZ seemed to be holding on and raft after raft of attacks from Dynamo's kept coming. Then with barely ten minutes to play after some good work all around Leon Salter popped up to score the winner to the elation of the Dynamos players and fans, what a game. Key moments in the game were when Daniel Jones had an open goal and his smashed shot looked to be busting the net before Kumar Hamid dived like a keeper and got his chest in the way of a cert goal, Mark Griffen controlled his area very well and a string of good saves, the defence were solid and kept a very good striker quiet, midfield didn't stop battling, and when attacking in the final third we always looked a big threat, a major step towards regaining our title however still along way to go and others will have a say in this yet.
