So were the lads intimidated? Not a bit of it. They owned the stadium for most of the first half with a series of flowing moves which Redhill had no answer to. The boys seemed to relish the bigger spaces and higher quality playing surface, firstly as Ewan set Zach free on the left to beat the defence and thread it through to Jack to make it 1-0. An outrageous roulette from Theo then created the space for a through ball to Ewan, who calmly lobbed the keeper to make it 2-0. Another slick passing move down the left took us from one end of the field to the other through Max, Zach, Theo and Jack. The game was not won though, as Redhill caught us on the break to give themselves a glimmer of hope by half time. The lads had to stand strong in the second half as the game was still open. The midfield and even the forwards played their part in managing the game as Redhill pushed us back. There were some great clearances from every single one of the back line, including when one of the fierce Redhill shots could only be parried by Max, but Kyran was most alert to clear it from 5 yards out.
