The Game That Hurt Us All

Melbourne 4 vs 0 Knights

After how well we played Saturday I think this one hurt us all because we played so well, especially in the first half. We went toe to toe with an established side of three years. We battled well & the game was end to end in the first half. We created a few chances just lacked that finishing touch. To go in at half time only 1-0 down was a real positive to take.

In the second half you could see we was starting to tire & lost a bit of concentration. Melbourne had a lot more of the possession & managed to score a few more. However, they were sloppy goals that we know we can avoid and we know we can play better than that. The lads knew this so were a bit disappointed at the end but we have to deal with it and move on to the next one. In our opinion I don’t think they were anything special & on another day we all know we could beat these! I think playing Saturday, midweek then again this Saturday is a bit too much with school as well. We go again Saturday morning & then have a nice little break before our next match. To see the disappointment on the lads faces at the end shows they care and they know they can play better that’s what’s important. You can see we have a winning mentality in us now which is great to see so well done boys, keep your heads up ?? Up the Knights! ????????
